Archi-type. A term coined to represent the merging of typography and architecture. Art often begins with spoken word that is looking for representation in a visual world. Archi-type uses sketches, 3D architecture softwares, and vector based programming to generate art with this mix of mediums.
This mural was first born as digital art featuring Arabic scripture. It takes traditional calligraphy and gives it a contemporary feel. Through precise mathematics, it was scaled up to create these cozy book nooks. The end product includes this fully designed interior space that is modern with Islamic features.
